Why Earn a CDL Class A License?

A truck driver with a CDL Class A license is permitted to drive any combination of vehicles with a gross combination weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 or more pounds (assuming that the towed vehicle is heavier than 10,000 pounds). This can include tractor-trailers, livestock carriers, and flatbeds.
